Life's a bit off track... Let's chat

Camille Pratt

Qualified Counsellor & EFT Practitioner

Ever since I was little my passion has been people and their wellbeing.

While at school, a careers test results came back suggesting psychology was the best career suited to me but as an undiagnosed dyslexic, I didn’t believe that would be achievable for me.

Hairdressing for 15 yrs was my love. Aren’t all hairdressers counsellors anyway?

I cared deeply for each client.

Once I started my family, buried pain and insecurities from my fractured childhood surfaced.

I found I needed professional help.

I committed to the process, painful at times but I was determined to become the person I wanted to be.

I felt extremely empowered by the end of the emotional journey.

The psychologist spoke to me about the fact I had a gift for understanding people.

He asked if I had thought about becoming a counsellor, which I had. I had done a 6 week

Basic Counselling Course.

Around the same time the psychologist spoke to me, I was diagnosed with dyslexia, which changed my whole belief system about myself.

A DREAM HAD BEEN IGNITED IN ME!

I started studying while raising 4 young children, working part-time and supporting my husband in his business.

I graduated in 2009 from AIPC.

Although my passion and dreams burned inside me to help others, it wasn’t the right time to start a business.

I had to be patient.

I’ve used my skills for 15 years at St Johns Grammar, supporting students and their families in the Learning Support Centre.

My hope is to make each child’s day better because I understand their struggles, including my own 4 dyslexic children and I want to help parents with their anxiety and worries they have regarding their children.

Now the time is right.

I’ve been given the opportunity to work in a peaceful and calming space.

My vision is to provide a confidential, caring, and safe space for individuals and their families to empower themselves to create the lives they want to live.

My dream has come true and I feel privileged that people trust me with their healing.

Why Choose EFT ?

  • EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) also known as Tapping is an acupressure and mindfulness method backed by research.

  • EFT is used to calm stress, relieve negative emotions and physical pain.

  • Physical pain, unresolved emotional pain and negative emotions like confusion, anxiety, fear and unhelpful beliefs, create energy blocks causing us to become stuck either emotionally or physically.

  • EFT is also effective when outside influences affect our lives. These influences can cause confusion as to how to deal with the situation. Tapping helps establish what you can control and what to let go of.

  • EFT focuses on the meridian points, clearing energy blocks.

  • During Tapping, information arises from subconscious bringing new awareness, thoughts & feelings into our conscious.

  • The benefits are clearer perspective, physical relief from pain, revived energy & authentic happiness.

  • EFT can be done via zoom, which has allowed me to build an interstate clientele.

  • It is great for adults & children.

  • I came across EFT years ago, when working through emotional pain, with amazing results.

Empowering you & your family to work through:

Parenting

Parenting can be overwhelming at the best of times. Even more so if your child has extra challenges. I aim to empower parents to work through their worries, anxiety & grief so they are in a positive space

to help their children.

Children can sense & feed off parents emotions, both positive & negative.

Relationships

All the different relationships in our lives can bring us great joy, but if there’s a breakdown in a relationship it can cause great pain & distress. Exploring your feelings & options, realising we can only control what we are responsible for & our reactions, allows you to step forward in the right direction.

Grief

For people grieving, one misconception is that people closest to you should/will support you at your time of grief.

Often those closest to you are grieving too & have nothing left to give to you. Sometimes to help yourself by reaching out to friends and/or professionals is the healthiest option.

Anxiety

Anxiety can be crippling & stop you living your best life. The counselling process helps you become aware of your triggers,  exploring  all unhealthy and

unhelpful thought patterns & gaining a variety of tools to

manage the anxiety

when it arises.

Self Empowerment

Self empowerment is about you becoming happy in your own skin.

It’s identifying where you at & what changes you’d like to make to become your best self. Through exploring different options, changing habits, setting realistic & achievable goals and working with new found awareness you can live life true to your real self.
